Hey Everyone! How are you all since the last time I wrote an actual journal entry? I hope that things have been well!! I guess I can start going on about what I've been up to for the past... 5 months? Haha! Well, in a nutshell...

First off, I'm back to work! We have beautiful new Cintiq tablets at Trapeze this year that we're using to do our work. Because of this, our scenes are so much quicker to finish!! No more scanner eating the paper and photoshop quitting when it's on it's last scanned image and you haven't saved!! Unfortunately, the cintiqs are so much fun to draw on I feel more like doodling my own stuff than working on backgrounds most days. I'm getting better though, I swear!!

On the side, I'm taking some life drawing classes. They're pretty small, and it's pretty casual *come when you want, pay after each class type thing*, but it's been a lot of fun so far, and I'm learning a lot. Or, at least, I hope I am! Haha! We'll see how my drawings improve, I guess.

Okay, I know I talk about work too much, so let's see what's going on in my personal life. Let's see, my sister came home after a year of being in New Zealand, and currently she's staying with my other sister Carolyn and me. It's a little cramped and we do fight from time to time, but all in all, everything's working out in that regard. My mom's Aunt and Uncle were over last week too, which was fun. We had Thanksgiving early so that we could celebrate it with them. I believe it's either today or tomorrow that they'll be heading back over to Montreal, and from there they'll go back to the Netherlands.

Also, last weekend, my sister Carolyn and I went to see the Riverdance performance they have going on at the theatre here. Man, was it ever awesome!! It had a good blend of dance, music, narration, and singing. And could those people ever dance!! Especially the main male lead (whom I lovingly nicknamed "Spike" because of his hair). His feet moved so fast, you could hear all the taps but only catch half of what he was doing. The Russian dancers were awesome, too - they had some amazing flips, jumps, and lifts going on. I was clapping along to the beat by the end of it, tapping my feet, and bobbing my head. I must've looked like such a child! Haha!!

Let's see, what else am I up to? Ah yes. Halloween is fast approaching and my friend Nelly came up with the idea of putting on an Alice in Wonderland theme. I was voted Alice (my friends reasoned it had to be me 'cause they needed a skinny Alice O__o), so I went out and bought some nice blue material and a dress pattern so that I can get started soon. I'm not the greatest at sewing, but Carolyn will be around in case I need pointers!! Wish me luck!!

Yesh, and sorry that I don't update DA much anymore. Lately I'm not doing any really cool finished pieces that I can post up here. More so just scribbles, studies, and my comic. I have a blogspot site that I update far more often, since I feel comfortable putting up sketches and studies there
